Fifteen mile asphalt trail on the old Erie Main Rail Line. This trail offers attractive scenic vistas and access from the Village of Goshen to Harriman for walking, biking and rollerblading.
If you go out our driveway and make a left on Old Chester Rd. go half a mile, first right on Duck Pond Rd. Trail entrance is ahead. Take a left to head east for a long ride through farmland or head right into the village of Goshen, nice ice cream place right on the trail.

Cool historic tavern for a drink.
George Washington, then Commander-in-chief of the Continental Army, recorded his 1783 tavern visit and purchase of grog in his diary. His wife, Martha, also stayed at Baird’s Tavern on her way to see Washington in his Newburgh headquarters in 1786.

240 Main StThe Brotherhood Winery is a winery in Washingtonville, New York. With its first commercial vintage produced in 1839, it is commonly acknowledged to be the oldest operating winery in the United States.[citation needed] In 2000 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.[1] The winery's slogan is "America's Oldest Winery".
Prior to the ownership of Cesar Baeza, the winery was known for its Vitis labrusca-based wines, with some seasoned with fresh herbs and spices based on 19th-century formulas.[4] The spiced "holiday wine" has been a winery best seller for many years. The winery also produces specialty wines, including one flavored with ginseng and a May wine with sweet strawberry flavors. The winery also produces a version of wine similar to mead made from wildflower honey and an Ethiopian-style honey wine (Tej) named "Sheba Te'j Honey Wine".[5]
In the 1970s the winery began producing wines made from French hybrid grapes, which the winery still sells.[4] Under the ownership of Cesar Baeza the winery has begun creating wines from Vitis vinifera grapes. Wines include cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, merlot, chardonnay, riesling and a white zinfandel.[5]
