There you may want to hike down to the Shimba Hills waterfalls, a 2,5 hours tour in total, guided by a Kenya Wildlife Service ranger. Its name “Kongo” was derived from a name inscribed on a stone at one of the graves in the mosque compound. Faithful Swaddiq Kongo was buried there centuries ago. In midst huge Baobab trees, it overlooks the Indian ocean.

Next to the mosque, the Kongo river joins the Indian ocean, this is the end of Diani Beach, being the border to Tiwi. It may well be one of the most beautiful beach parts. Strolling around on the dunes, swimming in the river at low tide or lay down on one of the basket-woven beach beds under the shade of the simple straw roof, provided by local fisherman. They ask a small fee for renting them. Don't miss to ask for grilled seafood in the morning, they will be happy to go out and catch either an octopus or prawns or other mouth-watering seafood. Grilled and then served an o palm leave will let you feel like a king and you will forget the daily stress for sure, though it may take some time to get.
