If you would like a deeper understanding of the history of European settlement from an indigenous perspective the Ration Shed Museum is a must to visit. Located at the Museum are the Barambah potters, who you can watch creating pottery pieces. The Museum Shop is also a must where you can choose a beautiful piece of pottery or one of many other items for sale.

Food scene

Beautiful restaurant in an amazing historical home. It has an interesting history and was once the Gympie maternity hospital. Excellent menu, it will cost a little bit more but is a highly memorable meal.

An eclectic coffee shop with great coffee, meals and delicious snacks. If you time it right, you can sit outside and watch the engineers as they prepare the Rattler for a run. Everything stops as the train takes off.

Farm tours, cafe and shop. The macadamia nut is actually a native nut of Bauple (about 30 minutes north of Gympie). At Lindols you can have a feast on these local delicacies. Lindols is on the road leading to Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach so can be a great addition to a wonderful day out.

Not sure why this app makes that weird heading, but, every day a family of wild Humpback Dolphins visit the care near the Snapper Creek Boat ramp. For a small fee you can feed the dolphins or watch others do that. Breakfast is available at Barnacles cafe.
