Famous for the best pies in all of Alaska. As well as a “I brake for pie” bumper sticker.
This place is just up the road from the Bed and Breakfast. Small hometown vibe with very friendly staff. The haul road truckers first stop before heading north to the oil fields. They have the best food around and portion sizes that are enormous (trucker sized) compared to their low prices. They are also famously known for their pies. All home made and one slice is a meal in itself. They never disappoint.

A lot of times they will have The Hungry Robot set up outside there serving personal pizzas from a wood fire stove. They also have other vendors come as well that are quite tasty. A bit of a drive across town to get to, by more than worth it. Highly recommended.

A short drive up the road from the house where locals love to go take a dip on the hottest of days in the summer. Bring your dogs and kids to this crisp and clean pond for a chilly dip. Lots of ATV trails to explore on and there are stocked trout as well.
