A quiet town tucked into the hills of Sleeping Bear lake shore. Numerous restaurants, locally owned shops and hangouts line main street, only a few minute walk from miles of stunning Lake Michigan beaches.
Glen Arbor Township

Just a 10 minute drive south on M22, Empire is a cute small town with a thriving main street. Local artisans populate most store fronts, including our favorite chocolatier, The Grocer's Daughter. The town in sandwiched in by Sleeping Bear, sits alongside beautiful spans of Lake Michigan and is surrounded an array of hiking trails.

Empire
Just a 10 minute drive south on M22, Empire is a cute small town with a thriving main street. Local artisans populate most store fronts, including our favorite chocolatier, The Grocer's Daughter. The town in sandwiched in by Sleeping Bear, sits alongside beautiful spans of Lake Michigan and is surrounded an array of hiking trails.
Nearby Activities
A great way to get to many of the places within the lakeshore, the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail is a hard-surfaced, non-motorized, multi-use trail spanning 22 miles from the northern end of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore at County Road 651 to the town of Empire.

An intermediate hike (mostly up hill on well maintained mixed surface paths) through dense forrest leading to breathtaking views off Empire bluff.

A short but steep up hill hike to the top of one of the tallest sand dunes in the area. There are multiple trails stemming from the trail head to explore.

Traverse City may be a foodie paradise but Glen Arbor also has a number of delicious options.
Only a 20 minute walk from the Round Haven property, enjoy exquisite french dining at this local favorite.

We love creating food experiences, the sorts of meals you linger over. The cuisine is still French country, which to Guillaume means simple food prepared really well."
