Cannon Beach is north of Manzanita. There are many more stores and restaurants to visit. It's a little busier there than in Manzanita but it's a beautiful town with a great beach. Check out Haystack Rock!

Wheeler is beautifully nestled in Wheeler Bay by the Nehalem River. It provides access to boating and fishing. There are some nice antique stores and the old Wheeler Hotel.

It's a fun visit to taste the different cheeses and see how they're made. They also provide visitor tours. The ice cream is amazing! If you're interested in souvenirs, there's a great gift shop.

Astoria is located at the mouth of the Columbia River. Watch the large ships come in from the Pacific. Check out the Astoria Column and climb up the spiral staircase. Astoria is worth a visit and a way through town and along the River Esplanade. There're some nice antique stores and museums.

If you're interested in history, here's a big piece of Astoria's story about ship traffic across the bar. The house is a beautiful home, that was ones owned by the Flavel family, which is another interesting story to itself.

This is our favorite hike. It's an easy 3 mile out and back hike and provides excellent views to Manzanita, Nehalem Bay, Wheeler and further south, depending on weather.

Manzanita downtown is a must see. It's only a 1.5 mile drive from our house. Check out the nice shops and restaurants. Plus the view to the ocean is amazing.
