The opening scenes of 'Saving Private Ryan' were filmed on this very beach. Miles and miles of golden sand run parallel to a beautiful forest walk - walk all the way down to Raven's Point at the end of the beach. Find a makeshift tyre swing on the forest - proper walkways in the forest - or climb the dunes out onto the beach.

Gorgeous Church of Ireland church on the Main St. Oscar Wilde's mother, Speranza, was married here. The altar rails come from a different church in Dublin - where the Duke of Wellington was married - allegedly. A lovely space that hosts music events throughout the year, Check out Music for Wexford on Facebook for summer classical recitals.
