Best things to do in Somerville

Science Museum
“Wonderful intimate museum with a hand-pulled glass botany exhibit that will blow your mind, minerals exhibited in beautiful wood and glass display cases, a variety of dinosaur, bird and animal exhibits. ”

Museo de arte
“The Harvard Art Museum is not the size of the Museum of Fine Arts or Gardner Museum in Boston (both of which are amazing), but has a very impressive collection, is housed in a gorgeous, recently gut-renovated building, and is large enough that you undoubtedly will be unable to see the whole thing in one visit. There is also currently (through July 28) a special exhibit called The Bauhaus and Harvard that is quite good and showcases the University’s Bauhaus collection, which is the largest in the world outside of Germany.”

“My favorite restaurant in Harvard Square. Great seasonal ingredients and amazing cocktails. Ask for the "Secret Burger" or even the "Super Secret Burger". They only make 30 or so a night though - so go early if you want to catch one.”

“They got an excellent bar and food menu. Not a huge dinner menu but we've enjoyed everything we've ever had. Offerings tend more toward the decadent side than light/healthy fare. If buffalo style brussel sprouts (one of our favorite items) sounds like something you'd like, take a look at their menu. The space gets crowded, so if you want to sit quickly go early. It also can get pretty loud, so if you're looking for a quiet dining experience, you might want to look elsewhere. ”

“Casual restaurant and bar that usually has a table open or a short wait (tough to find around here!) The food is good and relatively inexpensive, and they serve food until 1am! An 8 minute walk from us.”
