At Meadowcroft Wines, learn about the art and science of winemaking by blending and bottling your very own bottle of wine. We’ll start with a stroll through the beautifully manicured gardens of Cornerstone Sonoma and an idyllic vineyard for a firsthand look at the vines. As we walk the rows, We’ll share why the iconic Sonoma Valley is the perfect place to winegrapes. Then, we’ll sit to create unique blends from wines that have been aged in separate barrels to craft your own red blend using Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec Petit Verdot and/or Cabernet Franc to place your own signature style into a Bordeaux based red blend. Each person will hand-cork their own bottle of wine and take it home to share. No previous wine experience is necessary - perfect for all levels of wine experience and interest. Other things to note: You'll blending will be guided by one of our knowledgeable team members. Bring comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and a camera. Please be mindful that, as a sanctuary for rescued animals, our priority is the physical and emotional wellbeing of the animals who call Charlie's Acres home. Our animal residents are completely free and always have a choice whether or not they interact with visitors. They will reside at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives, where we'll have the honor of taking care of them. **Families with young kids are strongly encouraged to book a private group to better allow us to adjust the pacing and content of the tour.** We operate under current Sonoma County COVID-19 safety guidelines, and protocol is subject to change. Tours are available in French or Spanish by request. Note that we do not allow visitors to bring dogs onto the premises. Due to Covid we are trying to somewhat limit class size and trying to control classes on a class by class basis. You may book experience here or contact through Airbb Experiences to setup your private class time. We are Covid conscious and sterilize between classes, have masks and gloves available. In this class you will create your own all natural soy scented candles and learn the basics of candle making. As A chandler ( candle maker) I will walk you through the process of formulating your perfect scent. Use one of our 60+ all natural phthalate free fragrances or blend your own custom scent. Three soy candles. One 8 oz and two 4 oz. Classes are approximately 2 hours Typical Workshop: Check In/Mixer - Introductions, safety and Introduction to Candle Making -Fragrance Exploring, mixing, Pouring -Create custom label (my favorite part) add botanicals, Mingle and Hang While Your Candle Cools Other things to note Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to get settled. PLEASE DON'T BE LATE! Candles take approximately one hour to cure after pouring depending on the weather. We will bike on our local country roads while enjoying stops in vineyards, walking through 160 year old wine caves and even, during the harvest season, we enjoy tasting the grapes and testing the sugar levels. All our experiences are geared towards each small group's needs and wants. We will enjoy a private lunch at one of the wineries, a behind the scenes cheese tasting and more. The wineries we pick are diverse and the route is designed to show our guests what Sonoma has to offer. Join me and explore the unique birds that call California home! Whether you're new to birding or it's one of your biggest passions, I can guide you to habitats where we have a good chance of spotting these interesting and beautiful creatures. Our morning excursion begins in riparian habitat for passerines and migrant bird species, then on to managed wetlands and open fields, where we will look for grassland birds, shorebirds and ducks. This will give us a broad picture of the ecologically unique birds of northern California. As part of my commitment to conservation, I will donate $10 per person of your fee to a carbon offset company. This will not be a strenuous morning, but please come prepared to walk through some brush and on uneven dirt trails. I will have bird identification books. Don't forget your binoculars!

This will be a very unique, guided experience lasting between four to five hours where I teach you how to connect with nature, trees, animals and how to develop a deep, healthy relationship with nature. The experience will include hiking in the Lake Siskiyou area and Mount Shasta with meditation and energy healing. We will meet at Cable Beach Parking (this is right after the turn to Castle Lake). While we will not be doing the hike in the snow, snow is possible in some spots along the trail in the winter and early spring months along the lake. The hike could be rated easy (flat terrain). After the hike, you will follow my car up to Mount Shasta for sacred time on the mountain. Please note that the drive will require driving up on mountain road. There will be snow on the mountain in the winter/spring months. I will also be available to answer any questions you might have about your life, issues you are going through, awakening process or anything else. I will also provide my intuitive insight and support. My dog will accompany me on the hike as he is my spiritual companion and helps clients release things and be more at ease. Hike will not be conducted if there is rain, snow or smoke. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver before the hike.

We'll visit a combination of restaurants and tasting rooms (4 sit-down stops in total). Everything we eat is grown in beautiful Sonoma, and we'll pair (mostly) local wine at each and every stop. You will learn and taste 5 different varietals - a half of a glass each for at least a total of 2.5 glasses of wine over the course of three hours. We'll share insight as to why different types of wine and food pair so well together, discuss chefs, biodynamic farming, films, and purveyors. We'll cover Sonoma's role in California history as we walk by relevant landmarks. If we have time, we sample organic olive oil and check out leather goods between our restaurants for complimentary samples. We land in a boutique tasting room where we enjoy generous pours of small batch red varietals with local, artisanal chocolate. Our tours are not scripted, but rather customized to what is most interesting to our guests, so we encourage you to let us know when we meet and greet.
