Hello, Im not a professional chef, so this experience wont be professional, but will be professionally managed. Everyone will take place to the preparation of the dishes from the scratch to the end. The aim of this experience is to spend some time in an umbrian country house cooking with me in an informal environment. After we'll consume all together the meal in a joyful conversation with a glass of wine per course. The day after you will receive the recipes file. We will prepare together 2 kinds of pasta and a dessert to pick from the list below. We want you to see, smell, touch and taste the elements that combine to make our wines. On arrival you’ll be welcomed by Piero, Ramona or Sarah. We’ll introduce you to the rich wine-making heritage of the Orvieto area and go on a tour of the winery. You’ll be able to walk among the vines, feel the soils in which they grow and at the right time of year, even taste the grapes. From the vineyard we’ll move to our small cellar where you’ll learn about the winemaking process for our white and red wines and the final part of your time with us will be spent in the tasting room. Here you’ll be able to gain a greater understanding of how the wines are an expression of the place in which they’re made. We’ll sample both red and white wines, together with a selection of locally made breads, cheeses and artisan salumi. We organise tutorials on fundamental knowledge of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO): 1) The history of olive trees and Olive Oil starting from Fenicians, Romans to modern times. How ancient populations where capable to understand the quality also in those years . 2)Olive oils production in the world and explanation of cultivated varieties (Cultivars) 3)How olive oils are classified in accordance to International regulations 4)How to read the labels, try to avoid misleading advertising, get to know how to choose best quality products. 5)How to use EVOO while cooking and associated risks (smoke point temperature). 6) Specific session on EVOO tasting during which participants are taught the main principles on how to appreciate the qualities of a good Extra Virgin Olive Oil and how to use it in combination with gourmet or day to day food 7)Visit to a nearby olive grove with explanations of the various coulivars and cultivation technique 8)Visit to our proprietary modern oil mill to understand what are the various phases for processing olives with the aim to produce a vey High Standard Extra Virgin Olive Oil and comparison with old and now obsolete techniques. We will cook the traditional dishes of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio together. Vegetarians or vegans can be accommodated. Our courses will be rich in flavor and taste and are very genuine, mostly using produce and herbs harvested from the garden. Lessons will be based on authentic cuisine taught to us by our moms and grandmothers. The recipes will be seasonal, because this area offers excellent culinary products. To start, I'll present the raw ingredients that we will use. We will start with a nice welcome snack or breakfast Rosso Montepulciano house wine, coffee, water included in the price. Then I'll show you different techniques for hand-making noodles, pies, dumplings, stuffed pasta, and pizza. You'll learn techniques for sauces, roasting, and different types of cooking. We start with our e-bikes from Piazza del Duomo in Orvieto to reach Albornoz Fortress where we have a 15 minutes stage for admiring wonderful landscape on Monte Peglia, MAB Unesco reserve, and tell some word about Orvieto's history. Then we will get the "Ring" of Orvieto in order to have unforgottable views from different angles. We stop also come minutes just above "Etruscan Necropolis" where historians are still studying to better understand that fascinating civilization. After we go again inside the very center of Orvieto through "Roman Door", reaching a terrace from where you may take beautiful pictures on Orvieto and lands around. Again by e-bike we get S. Andrea Church and Piazza del Popolo, ending our tour in Piazza del Duomo again, where in a very old and unic winery (an Etruscan cave used now as private wine cellar) we will have our unforgottable wine and food tasting, an experience of scents and tastes that will make this tour an extraordinary "souvenir" of your holiday. Products very genuine from the land and tipical wines of the territory tasted in a spectacular place, just seat in front of Orvieto's Cathedral . Un’esperienza per grandi e piccini, passeggiando nel nostro vigneto della biodiversità sarà possibile scoprire i diversi vitigni recuperati e le caratteristiche degli antichi cloni di Ciliegiolo e Malvasia di Amelia coltivati, come una volta, insieme agli ulivi secolari di Rajo, una varietà unica presente solo nell’Amerino. Vi racconterò cosa significa fare viticoltura biologica e potrete ammirare il nostro terreno ricco di fossili marini. Dopo un passaggio accanto al boschetto dei daini, si entrerà in cantina per conoscere le pratiche di vinificazione naturale e di affinamento, qui potrete ammirare anche gli antichi utensili del nostro piccolo museo del vino. Al termine, la degustazione dei vini sarà un momento conviviale, una tipica merenda campagnola umbra tra le vigne. I tre vini biologici della nostra collezione Antichi Cloni saranno accompagnati da prodotti gastronomici selezionati esclusivamente tra le aziende dell’itinerario Transameria Slow Food Travel. Un percorso fra i sapori più veri dell’Amerino, per condividere storia e tradizioni del nostro territorio e giocare con gli abbinamenti cibo-vino.

Cominceremo il nostro percorso di degustazione con la visita della cantina del 1300 scavata nel tufo. Qui vi racconterò un po' come veniva utilizzata questa grotta in passato. Dopo la visita sotterranea torneremo su e ci siederemo ai tavoli vista Duomo, se il meteo non lo dovesse permettere la degustazione sarà all'interno, inizieremo ad assaggiare prodotti tipici della norcineria Orvietana come porchetta, salsicce secche e prosciutto ed anche dei formaggi con varie stagionature; il tutto verrà abbinato ai vini della nostra città sia bianco che rosso. Poi come da tradizione finiremo con il vino santo con i tozzetti alle mandorle e nocciole. Engage your senses on a wine-tasting tour through the vineyards and olive groves of Umbria. You will be picked up at your Hotel ( please see free pick up area) and taken on a beautiful drive in the Umbrian Wineland. We will visit 2 boutique family-owned wineries, each of them with its unique character. At each winery, we will talk about the different production methods and the history of the family, and of course, we will flavor their best wines along with some typical food. A genuine, homemade lunch will be served at one of the wineries! In Italy, we never drink without eating so get ready for a full day of delicious wine and also food tastings! El recorrido en bicicleta parte de nuestro pequeño Borgo - Torre del Colle. Viajaremos a la ciudad medieval de Bevagna y descubriremos sus peculiaridades, como la fábrica de papel medieval que aún funciona. Sumérjase en el estilo de vida italiano, sentándose en la plaza principal del pueblo para tomar un café exprés o disfrutar de un helado italiano. Luego, iremos a una bodega orgánica y disfrutaremos de una deliciosa degustación de vinos seguida de una visita a sus viñedos y un almuerzo ligero. Partenza alle ore 11 da Piazza del Duomo di Orvieto con colazione, per poi scendere con le e-bikes dalla Rupe in direzione Rocca Ripesena da dove scattare indimenticabili foto alla Rupe di Orvieto da una terrazza nascosta, con una visuale straordinaria. Quindi facciamo tappa presso una residenza storica del XIII secolo, ora cantina di eccellenza nei pressi di Rocca Ripesena: vini straordinari, formaggi e salumi del territorio, assaporati con una vista mozzafiato faranno immergere i nostri ospiti in un ambiente meraviglioso, lasciando alle spalle ogni pensiero. Da qui riprendiamo l' experience tour per portarci in località Bardano sempre in sella alle e-bikes. Giungiamo in una cantina famosa in Italia ed all' estero per la qualità dei suoi vini unici, dove assieme a vini degusteremo anche alcuni altri prodotti del territorio Orvietano. Infine risaliamo in centro ad Orvieto. Nelle diverse cantine il personale ci spiegherà i processi di vinificazione, le caratteristiche dei vini, visitando le cantine di invecchiamento. Dovrete avere voglia di vivere una splendida esperienza tra colline meravigliose, casali e cantine antiche, lasciando a casa per un giorno pensieri, fretta e stress Sanifichiamo le bici dopo ogni utilizzo e prima di uscire.

Vi proponiamo un aperitivo nel nostro oliveto, a poche centinaia di metri dallo splendido lago di Bolsena. Avrete occasione di passare qualche ora immersi nella natura tra i nostri olivi secolari, veri e propri monumenti naturali del territorio. Vi faremo conoscere la nostra tecnica di coltivazione raccontandovi ogni passo necessario alla produzione del nostro olio EVO "Cisterna31". Faremo poi una degustazione dell'olio, scoprendo i sapori e gli odori caratteristici della cultivar Caninese. Infine, assaggeremo alcuni dei migliori prodotti caratteristici della Tuscia tra cui salumi, formaggi, ortaggi, legumi, pesce di lago, vino e naturalmente pane e olio!

Vi guideremo nella nostra proprietà ricca di storia a scoprire il tartufo ma non solo: vi mostraremo altri tesori del bosco e vi racconteremo alcuni aneddoti che solo un tartufaio conosce. Faremo una breve pausa vicino ad una vecchia villa romana prima di tornare dove cucineremo per voi un intero pasto a base di tartufo; quello che avremo raccolto insieme. Potrete scegliere dalla nostra carta, studiata appositamente per noi da un sommelier-tartufaio, un vino da degustare nell'attesa e durante il pranzo. Pranzerete nel nostro agriturismo: il primo e l'unico in Italia a servire tartufo freschissimo dall'antipasto al dolce, su tutte le portate. Aqua trekking Bolsena. Dit wordt de leukste zondagmiddag van jouw vakantie. Volg de schoentjes en ga mee op Aqua trekking in de heuvels rondom Bolsena. Doe lekker uit die schoenen vanmiddag, want we gaan op blote voeten en waterschoenen op pad. Vanaf het water ziet de wereld er anders uit. Puur natuur wat een intense beleving. Soms spannend, maar wat hebben we een fun vanmiddag! Bij de waterval kun je zwemmen en in het waterspringen. Superleuk.

Wauw leuk dat je meegaat vandaag naar Civita di Bagnoregio en Ecowine Experience wijnhuis Tre Botti. We beginnen vandaag met een stadwandeling in Civita di Bagnoregio. Cività di Bagnoregio behoort tot één van de borghi più belli d’Italia, de mooiste dorpjes van Italië. Dit mooie dorpje heeft een bijzondere bijnaam namelijk de stervende stad “la città che muore”. Tijdens onze stadswandeling vertel ik alle ins and outs over dit mooie stadje. Na de rondwandeling gaan we de natuur van de Valle dei Calanchi in en wandelen we naar het wijnhuis Tre Botti. De Valle dei Calanchi is een prachtig en bijzonder natuurgebied onderhevig aan erosie en kleine aardbevingen welke hun invloed hebben gehad op de tufstenen en kleiachtige ondergrond. Er is een prachtig gebied gemodelleerd door de eeuwen heen. Over oude paden door weilanden en velden met olijfbomen komen we de prachtigste vogels loslopende koeien en ezels tegen. Soms ontmoeten we ook wilde dieren. Hoe mooi is dat? We komen langs de natuurlijke kathedraal en gaan afsluitend genieten van een ecowine experience (wijnproeverij) met antipasti bij de verrassing van Lazio het wijnhuis Tre Botti Lees meer over Civita di Bagnoregio

Wandelen Bomarzo. Etruskische cultuur en de natuur van het Sacro Bosco met een beetje Pasolini. Wil jij iets unieks ervaren tijdens je vakantie? Wandel dan mee met volg de Rode schoentjes door het Sacro Bosco (heilig woud) vlakbij Bomarzo het is ronduit bijzonder te noemen. Met deze excursie ga je een geweldige dag beleven. We starten bij de toren van Chia ooit de woning van de beroemde filmregisseur Pasolini. Langs watervallen en door ravijnen komen we langs een oude watermolen en bekkens waar vroeger vlas in het water werd bewaard. Het bos is een beetje sprookjesachtig. Je hoort alleen maar het water vallen, de vogels en krekels. Wat een ervaring. Via een holle weg komen we uit bij een oude kerk ruïne met graftomben. Een fascinerende en ook wel ontroerende plek met duidelijk sporen van actief leven waaronder een bekken waar druiven in werden verwerkt. Tijd voor de lunch? Of wandelen we verder naar het hoogtepunt van vandaag de Pyramide. Via smalle kronkelpaadjes en over rotsen klimmend staan we dan opeens oog in oog met dit Etruskische juweel. De wandeling is nog niet voorbij want we sluiten af met een Via Cave, om daarna te genieten met een drankje op een terrasje in Bomarzo zelf. Voor de liefhebbers is er nog tijd om Bomarzo te bezoeken.

Beleef de natuur en cultuur van de Etrusken in Zuid-Toscane. Dwaal met mijn rode schoentjes mee door 2500 jaar geschiedenis Volg de Rode Schoentjes door de natuur van Zuid-Toscane op 25 km van Bolsena. Ongebaand en verrassend op plekken waar je anders niet komt. We starten met een café of cappuccino in bar centrale, een klein barretje in St. Quirico en doen daar de inkopen voor de lunch bij de plaatselijke bakker en groenteboer. We gaan daarna samen op pad door een prachtig heuvelachtig mysterieus en bosrijk gebied. Klauteren en dalen af door holle wegen en volgen we de rotsachtige riffen van de oude Etruskische stad, Vitozza. Een wandeling langs grotten met oeroude verhalen over de Etrusken die hier hebben gewoond. Waar ze hun dieren huisvesten, ruimtes voor hun landbouwgereedschap, olijfolie en wijn maakten. Boven op het plateau van het oude Vitozza liggen de restanten van een 15e-eeuwse kerk en twee kastelen. We doen een columbarium aan uit de Etruskische/Romeinse tijd en dalen af via oeroude stenen holle wegen (Via cava), bezoeken de bron en de waterval van het riviertje de Lente die we oversteken. We gaan verder over een akker naar de Via Cava di San Rocco, een holle weg uit de tijd van de Etrusken. Het uitzicht op het adembenemend mooi gelegen Sorano is fantastisch. Na de lunch bezoeken we Sorano om vervolgens terug te wandelen naar St.Qurico.

Iremos a descubrir uno de los pueblos más bonitos de Italia, situado en el centro del pueblo, con un paseo de unas 3 horas. Civita di Bagnoregio es un bonito pueblo antiguo llamado la ciudad que muere. Fundado por los etruscos, pasó por una serie de dominios y en la Edad Media compraron gran parte de su forma extraordinaria, luego se enriquecieron en el Renacimiento y nos lo guardaron. Wandeling Hermitage en kluizenaarsgrot. Wandelend door authentiek Lazio nemen de rode schoentjes je mee naar een hele bijzondere plek. Een plek waar je je ogen uitkijkt en stil van wordt. Waar een prachtige waterval uit het niets verschijnt naast een oude woning van een kluizenaar, een zogeheten eremo (kluizenaarsgrot) en een Hermitage met altaar en troon en oude fresco ‘s op het plafond en de muren. Neem je zwemkleding mee want we lopen langs een mooi riviertje waar we lekker kunnen uitrusten, zwemmen en mooie stenen zoeken.

Wijnwandelen van Sovana naar Pitigliano en terug. We ontdekken vandaag één van Europa`s mooiste culturele wandelingen. Trek je wandelschoenen aan en ga mee pad met Volg de Rode Schoentjes. Vanmorgen beginnen we in het mooie Italiaanse dorpje, Sovana. Een klein dorpje waar de Etrusken al een 2500 jaar geleden leefden. Voordat we onze rugzak opdoen is er tijd om Sovana te ontdekken. In de middeleeuwen was Sovana de hoofdstad van het graafschap van de zeer invloedrijke Aldobrandeschi familie. De bisschop zetelde hier tot 1660. Nadat we hebben genoten van Sovana is het de hoogste tijd om op wandel pad te gaan. We verlaten Sovana en bezoeken de Etruskische necropool Folonia. Al wandelende hebben we een mooi uitzicht op Sovana en de bergen, waaronder de Monte Amita de hoogste berg van Zuid-Toscane. De wandeling gaat verder over oude Etruskische wegen. Een unieke en magnifieke ervaring. Het hoogtepunt is de via cava di San Giuseppe en een authentieke waterbron (fontein). Bij deze fontein gaan we lunchen. Na de lunch bezoeken we Pitigliano. De oude van oorsprong Etruskische stad is een juweel met haar smalle straatjes, fonteinen en poorten, die trots op een rots troont. Om vervolgens te gaan genieten van een geweldige wijnproeverij bij mijn favoriete wijnhuis Sassotondo. Na deze proeverij keren we weer terug naar Sovana.

Sarà un' esperienza indimenticabile, uscire da Orvieto raggiungendo La Badia e poi attraversando i bellissimi paesaggi che da Canale Nuovo e Boccetta conducono a Civita di Bagnoregio. Casali, cantine, prati dove liberamente pascolano greggi di pecore, boschi di faggi, querce e castagni, fanno da contorno a questo altopiano dove una brezza costante rende piacevoli anche le giornate estive più calde. Arriveremo quindi alla terrazza da cui si ammira l' antica Civita che apparirà improvvisamente in tutta la sua unica bellezza. Percorrendo il ponte come sospesi in aria entriamo nel "Castello nel Cielo", così viene chiamato questo borgo, set cinematografico di grandi grandi film.
