“This square is the commercial and administrative centre of the city as well as the site of important social and historical events. Here you'll find cinemas, theatres, banks, hotels, restaurants, dozens of small and large shops, and administrative centres. The square was created during the founding of the New Town by Charles IV in 1348. Today it is dominated by the National Museum (1885 – 1891) and Josef Václav Myslbek’s statue of the national patron St Wenceslas from 1912.”

Vecindario
“The neighbourhood of Vyšehrad is an amazing neighbourhood that has a lot to offer. Vyšehrad Castle is the domain of the area and offers breathtaking views of Lesser Town and the Prague Castle, relaxing strolls in the beautiful green parks or a refreshing morning jog when there is nobody around. On the other side, there is Náplavka on the river bank, with the farmers market every Saturday and many food festivals all year round. The newly constructed hinged windows that decorate Náplavka with galleries, coffee shops and other establishments behind them are something one of a kind that you cannot find anywhere else! Park Folimanka is ideal for those who seek local vibes, located right under the spectacular Nuselský bridge that blows my mind every time I walk under it. Do not forget to look around a little bit while walking in the streets of the neighbourhood, you might notice some cubist architecture! Overall, the district of Vyšehrad is in my opinion quite underrated, as it has a lot to offer, but nobody is actually talking about it, really. ”

“The building is an example of a deconstructivist architecture, with an unusual shape – you can actually see a couple – woman and man dancing together, holding their hands, with a skirt that sways to the music. Words can’t describe it. You have got to see it! On the top floor there is a terrace with a beautiful view of Prague!”

“TYPICAL CZECH BEER RESTAURANT - 15mins walk They brew their own beer too. If you ask nicely they may let you sneak a look at their bijou brewery. U Fleku is, of course, pretty touristy, but the beer is spot on and they do decent hearty Czech food too, such as beef and dumplings smothered in cream.”

“Duplex is a famous and fancy club on our biggest square, Wenceslas square. During the nights it is very crowded, this is how famous clubs are. During the day it is a nice restaurant. The food is very tasty. They serve pasta, seafood, meat, salads.. etc. Interior is very stylish and newly renovated. Especially the view is beautiful. You can see the entire square. It is great to sit outside and just watch everything from the top.Highly recommended!”
