“One of the best restaurants in Hawley. Owned by the Silver Birches resort and spa. he Dock at Lake Wallenpaupack was once the Marine Terrace, a popular 1940s roadhouse in the Wallenpaupack cottage community. Three generations later, it is now The Dock on Wallenpaupack, a full service Hawley, PA restaurant with a Waterfront addition on the Silver Birches property. Excellent signature cocktails and a great wine list which can be hard to find in the area. Live music Friday and Sunday. Reservations recommended. ”

Parque
“I love this sanctuary. It has multiple trails, one of which has a dock and bench about half way through the mile-long trail. I usually bring a book and read at the dock, with the only interruption being the sweet wild-life that nest in these trails. It's very quiet, and the trails are easy to navigate. *Watch out for small orange lizards, they're easy to miss while walking be careful not to step on them :)”

“Natural lake ice was once a booming industry in the Pocono Mountains. Step back in time to learn how the ice was "made" in the region. Watch how clear ice is manufactured today.”

Grocery or Supermarket
“Newly remodeled and reopened! We’re glad to have back the Country Store both for its convenience (just two miles away) and the newly expanded items they’re offering. The Store features a full service Deli selling quality meats, cheeses, salads, bakery items, and sandwiches. Included are snacks, drinks and Greek specialties. Also found are household and personal items, as well as an expanded grocery section. Insiders tip: check the daily specials board, those tend to be the best sandwiches”

Lodging
“Formerly Ehrhardt’s, the now renamed (well, back to the original 1927 name) and just re-opened resort complex just a few miles to the left of the bungalow. Best part about Silver Birches is the lakefront and the view from the newly renovated dock and patio areas. Grab a drink and enjoy the view! In addition is live music in the bar (Fridays 8pm-Midnight) and pub trivia (Thursdays 8pm). Coming in June 2016 will be kayaks, and Pontoon Boats rentals and parasailing! The onsite store will features provisions and sundries including ice, cups, snacks, sunblock, flip flops, sunglasses, fishing supplies, dock lines and boating supplies. ”
