Marisquería
“If you love seafood, this fish taco spot is just 2 blocks from Casa Gubidxa! Although the menu is limited to shrimp, marlin, and fried fish, it is all delicious. With a buffet-style assortment of salsas and toppings, the tacos are delicious. Be aware however, lines often form outside and the place shuts down by around 4-5pm every day!”

Teatro
“Foro Shakespeare is a theater which breaks away from the traditions of Mexican drama. This theater, with its multi-modal space and five theater halls, promises a unique theatrical experience given to the audience by independent theater companies. Foro Shakespeare aims not only to support independent artists and directors and to entertain theater-goers, but it also intends to educate the members of the audience for them to become more aware of the skill and work behind the dramatic arts.”

Cafetería
“Good coffee, but, mostly a good place to read for a while or pause under the sun. It offers breakfast and simple lunch type meals. For breakfast get there early, its a small place. $$+”

Tienda de postres
“Honestly, I can’t even with this place- It’s so evil in its deliciousness, it almost makes you angry. Handmade, small, scrumptious individual creations of chocolate goodness, each with an even more delicious filling… They are to die for! Tout Chocolat sells them separately, or in beautifully presented boxes. They also make their own brownies and a mean cup of coffee!”

Cafetería
“So small you’ll blink and miss it, but man, is their coffee good! I personally love this cafe, as they let you sit there for hours typing away undisturbed (you can juice up your gear here as well, as there are outlets aplenty), whilst they spoil you with their tasty menu and a gentle smile (everything is made on the premises). A favourite is their ultra decadent chocolate cake, or potato and zucchini hash with smoked salmon and yoghurt dressing- Yum!”

“An already large –and growing– French community called for an authentic French boulangerie - patisserie. This is the place to buy bread, croissants and any piece of French patisserie you wish. Also great for breakfast, though if you eat there prices are a wee-bit high. ”

“Bread and pastries made by a Portuguese pastry chef. Right in front of Starbucks! Makes for a tasty continental breakfast. Don't know about you, but a good cup of coffee is a must in the mornings, and how can you resist a croissant.”

“Excelentes panes artesanales horneados cada día. Buena opción para desayunar a la vuelta del depto!”

Pastelería
“Gluten free, sugar free, and vegan! This Mexican bakery is a big hit for those who can't or don't want to eat gluten. They make everything from potato flour and use stevia instead of sugar. Order the Negrito, donut, or empanadas and coffee! And don't forget to ask them to heat it up first-- most products are better hot.”
