At the Candle Bar, you will have the opportunity to learn a new skill and create 2 unique one-of-a-kind candles. Come pull up a chair and we'll serve you a drink of your choice (red or white wine, or a local beer). Take in the beautiful aesthetics of the store and make something special for someone special...or simply just yourself. Here you can take a piece of Houston back home with you. We'll start off by teaching you the process behind making your own personal candle and the science behind building a fragrance. Then we'll walk you through building your own fragrance. Once we've completed that, we will guide you through making and pouring your own candle. While the candle is drying, feel free to shop at Forth & Nomad, or relax on our beautiful, wooden patio under our historic oak trees. Please allow up to 3 hours for your candles to dry before taking them home. You can also pick up your candles at another time. We can host up to 8 people per class. Each ticket buys 1 person one seat. We cannot split candles between two people. After a warm-up to prepare for this true sport, teams will take off to experience a wide variety of carefully curated locations throughout town. You'll drive in your car (special carless version available on request) to the various checkpoints, solving clues and accepting challenges that involve getting outside your comfort zone at each spot! Both family and dog friendly, the game alternates between the indoors and outdoors with plenty of alternative spots and free choices too! You'll send photos to your host to document your progress. After meeting and greeting each other, there will be a basic water skills and aptitude orientation where I will review the map and route we will be paddling. Moving to the kayaks I will demonstrate proper kayak , PFD and paddle use and skill. We will begin paddling the bay in the shallows to adjust to the watercraft. We will embark on an aquatic tour of the natural area to observe the birds, animals and fish that happen to show themselves. This will be an opportunity to learn about the colorful history of the island and its natives. Just before sunset we will retire to a remote area or island to enjoy the setting of the sun, all along taking advantage of photo opportunities. After a solemn, moonlit paddle back to the launch the tour will conclude. *please note: the tour is weather dependent and may have to be canceled due to weather/safety, as needed, especially during winter months.* Other things to note kayaks have a 275lb per person weight limit. all participants must be at least 14 yrs old and be able to swim life jackets must be worn at all times all participants must stay with the group I only have single person kayaks available. You will experience the joy of interacting with several adorable nigerian dwarf goats at our farm in Crosby, Texas. We are nestled in the woods and off the beaten path. You will have the opportunity to interact with the goats and feed them. Spending time with goats is an incredibly rewarding experience.

Still wondering what Goat Yoga is??? Well it’s Yoga with Goats, silly! It’s a fun interactive way to let loose and giggle while going through a basic yoga flow class. It’s NOT a serious practice and is truly ideal for new or first time yogis. I think of it as Yoga play time and so do the goats. So why not get outside in the country for a couple hours, unify your mind, body and breath with this 5000 year old practice while laughing and snuggling with adorable little baby goats??? This is an experience like no other. Combining the benefits of yoga with the calming and loving connection with goats will leave you feeling light, happy and wanting more. This is an experience. First time introduction to pottery throwing with the pottery wheel and clay. Learn to use the pottery wheel, center clay and make a bowl, cup or plate. Students will be given two hours to play with clay. We will learn how to use a pottery wheel to make a bowl and cup. Then pick a piece of pottery out of the gallery made by your host LeRoy Grubbs to take home. You are welcome to bring refreshments and drinks. BYOB.
