“Montjuic, which overlooks the Pueblo Seco neighborhood, hence the name. It is flanked by the Spring park and the Mossèn Costa i Llobera gardens, while after the ascent of the mountain comes to the Miramar gardens, designed by Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier, which he had planned on this side of the Mountain a monumental access from which only the stairs were made, which go from the port to the Plaza de la Armada, at the top of the viewpoint. It is a classified forest park, since it mostly constitutes an area of forest typical of the mountain. In this area some shacks had been built at the beginning of the 20th century, which were demolished when the Montjuic road was built. The most elaborate elements of the park are located in the lower part, where there are petanque courts, ping-pong tables, playgrounds and a long pergola to provide shade. Also in this area there is a pond planted with aquatic plants, where the water falls through a stepped waterfall that spills from another pond located at a higher level”

“This amphitheater and gardens are rather tucked away in Montjuic Park but are well worth the effort of getting there (in my opinion). This part of the park isn't particularly large, but the gardens are charming, there are benches to sit and read or have a rest, not to mention a fabulous view of the city (especially for sunsets). ”

“Mossèn Costa i Llobera is a curious botanical garden in the center of Barcelona, Spain. It is situated at the foot of Montjuïc facing the sea. The park owes its name to the renowned Mallorcan poet Miquel Costa i Llobera. Despite of the gardens taking up around 6 hectares of the Montjuïc hillside, they are some of the least known and visited gardens in the city. The gardens display all kinds of plant and tree species from the desert, subdesert, tropical areas, and highlands. There is also huge collection of cacti (about 800 different types) originating in many different continents and countries. As well as the collection of species of cacti and succulent plants, the gardens have panoramic views over the city's coastline and port. ”

“A typical urban garden, designed realized in late 90's when there was the old central power station of the city. Of the original structure, only three chimneys are still in place so to name the garden. This area is a meeting point of urban culture in which skateboard and graffiti contests are held, as well as electronic music performances and, once per month, an artisanal food products market. At one end of the park it is possible to find a kids garden, playground, petanque and ping-pong. On this side there are alto a number of poplar trees planted.”
