Discover a part of Chicago only known by locals -- our miles-long system of underground tunnels known as "The Pedway." This engaging adventure pops you in and out of beautiful buildings, familiarizes you with the most interesting parts of the Pedway, and shows you the best hidden details downtown that people walk by every day. This is not a typical "must-see" tour for typical tourists -- it's a "must see" experience for travelers who want something BEYOND what's typical. The tour begins with an introduction to downtown Chicago's famous "Pedway" -- the mysterious system of passageways and tunnels that keeps us all warm & dry in bad weather, and cool in the summer. Walking under entire blocks, we'll access interiors that seem to come up out of nowhere, stumbling upon hidden corridors of stained glass, underground swimming pools, and more. We'll then use what we learn in the first part of the tour to navigate the least-known parts of the Pedway, ending with a beautiful interior in one of the most unique and famous buildings in the country. Guests should be prepared to be on their feet for about 2 hours. It is an easy walk, but still -- it's a little bit of exercise, and please be aware that there are several sets of stairs! upon entering Aroma Workshop in Chicago's Lincoln Park guests are given a card to indicate which scents from our "Scent Bar" they like, then a friendly Perfumer expertly blends scents on tester strips for the guests to sample. When their favorite is picked it goes into a choice of 1 oz. bottles. BOTTLE IS INCLUDED Also, we're are BYOB, so feel free to make it a little event. :) You'll have the appointment time for anywhere between 45min to 2 hours depending on your group size (45min for groups of 2, etc.). Women, Men, Couples, Mothers Daughters, Best friends all have fun creating scents together. **Groups of 5+ are $65 per person and have a 20% service fee included on the non-sale amount to be paid in shop :) 2.2oz bottles are given for this. Chicago offers a lot of hidden bars for night owls. We will start the night at my favorite hidden gem in West Loop, we will spend about one hour here then head to the next bar which is an 8 minute walk. Some of the bars have secret entrances so be ready for a fun night. The bars have amazing cocktails, beers, non-alcoholic drinks, good music and a good ambiance. There are plenty of secret bars and unfortunately we cannot explore all of them in one night. However, I will share with you the location of other secret bars which you can visit later. Please be advised that drinks or food are NOT included. This is not prohibition level speakeasy tour, this is a chill bar hopping experience. I was not born in the early 1900s and don’t know anything about prohibition so don’t ask. Have a drink and relax. Please note the experience time says it lasts 3 hours but you are welcomed to stay at the bars as long as you like. If your preferred hour is fully booked, don't worry, bar fits a fair amount of people, send me a message.

We provide all the supplies - soy wax, candle vessels, 20+ fragrances to choose from, candle wick, jar labels, etc. We walk through them through entire process of making a candle. We'll meet at my bike loaner HQ in the heart of Chicago's Wicker Park where we'll discuss the day's ride and get comfortable riding together. Then, I will lead you on a 4 hour custom bike ride through several Chicago neighborhoods. We'll ride under the historic "L" train, visit several of the city's neighborhoods (historically diverse and modernly hip), get a taste of Chicago's craft beer scene (if requested) and see Chicago's wide range of architectural styles and oddities, parks, 1920s gangster related sites, great skyscraper views, movie locations, cluster of early 1900s movable bridges, and street art. No tour will be the same as it will be adjusted according to your responses to the pre-ride questionnaire. ** I have a small number of older model loaner bikes available for people who do not have one their own. If you prefer to rent newer bikes I can offer some suggestions.** ***As a general rule, unless the next day forecast is for all day thunderstorms, we wait until the morning of to make the final call to cancel. I don't normally cancel the ride if just a shower or two are forecasted. Sometimes we have coordinated with all riders to move the time up or back an hour to avoid bad weather. You'll arrive at Gate 66 of Chicago Executive Airport (rear of 1098 S Milwaukee) where you'll be met by our pilot and taken straight to the aircraft. The aircraft is a beautiful Piper Lance II which seats 7 people (including pilot), however this is dependent on the weight of the passengers (so don't forget to send in your weight information after booking). After a briefing get ready to board the plane and take flight! Chicago Executive Airport is situated to the North of Chicago, in Wheeling, IL. Upon take off you will immediately be able to take in the views of Lake Michigan as the pilot turns South towards downtown Chicago. The aircraft will track the lake shore so you can enjoy the scenic view of the Chicago skyline. This is truly a mesmerizing experience and we recommend you bring a good camera along to capture the moment! You will see all the monuments of downtown Chicago including the Hancock building.
