Female, originally from India, married to a Puerto Rican husband. Worked in Boston MA as a science teacher in a private school from 1984 to 2008, retired early, moved to PR. Love this place. I read a lot, love to travel, love dogs, have a lot of friends here both snowbirds from the States and local Puerto Rican friends. I am a catholic and go to church on sundays. Love my retired life. I have taken 6 groups of friends from Boston and here and other places to India for three week trips. I am warm and friendly and helpful, also love my privacy. I speak good english and my husband speaks good spanish. My spanish is enough to manage over here but my grammar is not very good. I have three sons all in the States, all married. I have two grandchildren two years old and I go to the mainland at least once or twice a year, meet with my friends, go for events, visit my old school. I started a summer camp for children in the school that had to do with science, but it was all hands on, traveling to places around Boston, whale watching, etc., and they loved the program. I am part of a women' group here in Puerto Rico where we do charity work, collect donations for the school for the deaf, for an animal shelter, for a battered women's shelter and for a school. We distribute turkeys and other things during Thanksgiving and also toys for children during Christmas.I go to a lunch or two with one or two friends during the week. I go to movies that I want to see. If and when I rent my first floor, you will find a very helpful couple upstairs who respects your privacy but also will help where help is needed.
