Welcome to Charlotte’s Place in the beautiful little town of Clarens in the Orange Free State. We have made every effort to make your time with us as comfortable as possible. During your stay you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Clarens has to offer and which is surrounded by the beautiful Maluti Mountains. Due to load shedding we have installed an inverter for your convenience as well as a tank to supply the house with water when the towns water pumps can’t pump due to load shedding

Mafube Mountain Retreat Garden Unit near Clarens

Mafube Mountain Retreat is a secluded guest farm about 25 minutes from Clarens and is a hikers and nature lover's paradise! It is situated in a stunning amphitheater of sandstone mountains, is child friendly and has very well defined Dinosaur footprints a short hike from the chalets. The Garden unit is a small self catering unit with one bedroom and which has space for two children sleeping in the lounge area. It is surrounded by a wilderness area and with breathtaking views from every window.

Die Koeistalle

Tucked away on the edge of Rosendal, Die Koeistalle is a lovingly restored guesthouse as old as the town itself. The open-plan living area, once a working cowshed when Rosendal was still a farm, is one of the oldest surviving buildings in town. As Rosendal came to being, the old shed was transformed into a brickworks, supplying bricks to the first houses in Rosendal. Today, its stone walls and timber beams stand beside newer additions, creating a seamless blend of heritage and comfort.

Clarens House Self Catering Holiday Home

Clarens House is a modern minimalistic home, with unique features, a spacious open plan living area, and creative, relaxing outdoor areas to enjoy. The house sleeps 4 guests in two ensuite bedrooms. The arrangement is open plan bedroom/bathroom upstairs and closed bathroom downstairs. A minute's walk to shops and restaurants. There is an indoor braai which acts as a fireplace. Smart TV, DSTV and wifi provided. Additional guests or children will attract extra cost.

Platteland Clarens Holiday Home

This fully furnished house comprises 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Beyond the scullery is a seperate 4th bedroom and en-suite bathroom (no wardrobe.) The home has a fully equipped kitchenwith a fridge, gas stove, oven, microwave, air-fryer and Nespresso coffee machine, an open-plan living area with a fireplace, and a wraparound patio with a BBQ and seating to enjoy sundowners. The property contains a Studio and Cottage, booked seperately from the House.

This beautifully curated space offers a practical kitchenette. Cosy wood-burning fireplace in lounge. There is an enclosed garden with a boma and a private deck, a wood-fired braai, and breathtaking views of the Rooiberg mountains. The elegant king bedroom is designed for comfort and romance, featuring an extra-length king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower and bath. Please take note that we do not allow children or toddlers.

Red Mountain Retreat Clarens

This holiday home comprises 2 bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms, each fitted with a shower only. One bedroom has a double bed, the other, two singles. The home features a fully equipped kitchen, and a living and dining area. The house features a balcony overlooking the Maluti Mountains, equipped with a gas braai. There is one garage, and the living areas are accessed via a flight of stairs.

God's Gift The House

The House sleeps 4 guests and is adjacent to 2 cottages. It is within walking distance of the square (restaurants and shops). It has a fireplace as well as an enclosed build in braai area with 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. Fully equipped kitchen (self catering) with a 4 plate gas stove an electrical oven, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster.

Heartstone's Rest House is located in the heart of Fouriesburg and is one of the original old sandstone homes.
