Our 1948 vacation home is on 4 acres & boasts 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 half baths, Bridal Suite (4th bedroom), 70s TV/Game Room, Tiki Bar, & Children's Playroom. Outside we have a pool (guaranteed to be open 5/26 - 9/5) & hot tub (year round). Located 15min away from Downtown DSM & a mile away from a grocery store/restaurants. Up to 2 dogs allowed for an additional fee. ***Events/photo shoots are allowed with written permission only and will be an added fee. No events larger than 25 total.***

Scandinavian Apartment in Historic Story City

Our place is a cozy hideaway on the second floor of a historic building in downtown Story City. It is a sweet little town to relax in that is an easy 15-minute drive to Ames and all its amenities. The studio apartment has just been renovated into a Scandinavian-themed sanctuary. The living room has a fold-out couch that sleeps two, a smart TV, and a kitchenette. The bedroom has a very comfy queen-sized bed and the 3/4 bath has all you need to get away in comfort. Free parking is right outside.

Enjoy Relaxing Iowa Farm stay

Our farm is about 6 MI south of Hampton on a working farm. There is mile of gravel to get to our farm that is well maintained. We offer a guest house with 2 bedrooms. One has king bed and the other has a queen bed with single bunk above it. We also upon request provide single mattresses for extra guests. Large bathroom with shower and soaking tub. Complete kitchen. Coffee and bottled water provided. Our place has large outdoor area for lawn games and picnics. Great for family gatherings.

The entire first floor including master bedroom bathroom, kitchen, dining room and deck are handicap accessible . we have a game room 3 big screen tvs fast internet ,basketball and hoop, with a fire pit in back for smores hotdogs and great family time around the fire .Relax with the whole family at this peaceful ,quiet private place to stay. We have 6 beds 2 sofas and sleeps 14 comfortably. We have deer almost nighty in views, often on the grounds. Lots of off road parking. COME SEE US

The River House

Enjoy our modernized 1887 farmhouse located on the Iowa River in the peaceful town of Alden. The house has direct access to the river for kayaking, tubing or canoeing. The float to Iowa Falls is through a scenic greenway including limestone bluffs. The spacious lot has room for relaxation & games, including a front porch, backyard patio, and a fire ring near the river. The house has 4 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a full kitchen, open dining room/living room, and laundry facilities.

We are less than 30 minutes from Des Moines, Altoona, Ames, Marshalltown, Ankeny, and Newton. On site washer/dryer, close to several grocery/convenience stores, drive way parking, fully equipped kitchen, and about a 1/4 of a mile from the Heart of Iowa Trail. Cabin Cove By the River

Take a step back in time when you enter our little log cabin by the river. Built in 1949, this cabin is a replica of the log cabins built by the gold seekers of Alaska. Though modern in most aspects we have retained the native charm of unfinished wood, rough, hand-hewn logs and naked beams. The inspiration for the cabin was found by my great grandfather who spent time in Alaska working on the Alcan highway.

Overlooking the historic swinging bridge, on the Iowa River, this newly-remodeled guest house features 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and a furnished kitchen that's open to the living area. The large living room windows look onto the landscaped private backyard and the river. Tucked into a quiet neighborhood, the house is perfect for a relaxing weekend, or for a get-together of family or friends.

Your group will enjoy this large 2 story home for families, big groups or couples. There is even enough room to park a camper if needed. The large backyard has a winding path through the trees leading to the Ira Nichols wildflower and bird refuge or you can just meander on the path enjoying the birds singing, scampering squirrels, or occasional rabbits.
