This is a cabin-in-the-woods experience! The Seeley Oaks A-Frame is our slice of the peaceful Northwoods experience. It's on 40 private, tranquil acres (no neighbors!) with great access to all the Hayward-Cable area has to offer. It's small - intended for two adults, with the option of 2 addtl kids. It's a total of 700 sq ft, with a queen bed in the loft, in-floor heat, full kitchen, and washer and dryer. Less than 2 mi from Highway 63, 8 mi from Cable, and 10 mi from Hayward. IG: @Seeleyoaks

Norrsken Scandinavian Cottage

The guest cottage is painted to resemble a Scandinavian retreat. Complete with separate bedroom, extra fold-out sofa queen bed, kitchenette, wood burning stove, WiFi (the best we can find but not great!!!) and large television (DirecTV), it is a great getaway for a couple or a family. Owners live on property if you need anything. If you are a bit adventurous, we can put up a tent right next to Lake Superior. The entire property is smoke free. For a quiet stay, no snowmobiles or ATVs.

Charming Cottage on Wilson Lake

With a queen bedroom, sitting room/guest room with a futon and cable tv, bathroom with shower, and a complete kitchen, it is a cozy retreat for a couple or single traveler looking for privacy and relaxation. The cottage is located on Wilson Lake, part of Phillips Chain of Lakes. There is a small beach area with a wonderful fire pit with free fire wood, picnic bench and swim raft located on the property. We offer use of our Canoes, Kayaks and a paddle board free of charge to all guests.

Lakeside cabin on pristine Diamond Lake in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest area just outside of Cable, Wisconsin. The Birkebeiner cross country ski trail and scores of other mountain biking, hiking, and snowmobiling trails are close by plus other public recreation opportunities (hunting, snowshoeing, bird watching, etc) abound in the nearby National Forest lands. Several other lakes, including Lake Namekagon and Lake Owen, are nearby for your boating and fishing pleasure.

We have had many guests visit the sea caves in Cornucopia, spend the day in Bayfield, or hike the Porcupine Mountains. We also are only a few miles from the ATV trails if you would rather spend the day riding the trails. We have multiple places to mountain bike or kayak. We fell in love with Hayward for the same reason so many people do: the lakes, the quiet, the slower pace, and how easy it is to feel connected to nature. The Cabin for Two sits at the end of a private road on a small wilderness lake, surrounded by county forest. Wildlife is part of daily life here. Loons call across the water, swans and other waterfowl pass through, and deer regularly move through the yard. In the warmer months, bears occasionally travel through the area.
