Lapland cabin by a lake

This small, traditional, Lappish log cabin is located right at lake Norvajärvi , only some steps to the water (or ice in winter). Enjoy the lake view and forest around you, immerse to the nature and its sounds and smells, marvel the northern lights and cosy up by the open fire. Cabin has electricity but no running water. We bring drinking water in containers and washing water to sauna is taken from the sweet water lake. We are 20km from Rovaniemi city, apprx 30min drive -with no street lights.

Päämökki on rannassa kiinni, omalta laiturilta uimaan Hiidenveteen. Mökin lähellä Varikkaan uimaranta. Mökin varustelu: kylpyhuoneessa polttava wc ja pyykinpesukone. Saunassa nopea puukiuas, ja mökissä juokseva lämmin vesi. Keittiössä mm. uuni, induktioliesi ja tiskikone. Ilmalämpöpumppu viilennyksellä.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

This extremely unique 200-year old log house offers you an outstanding holiday. The property locates only 15 minutes by car from Jyväskylä. The cottage is on the lower part of the property by a private beach. You can relax by the fireplace, go to sauna or go swimming into the lake. There is a central heating and an additional fireplace, indoor toilet, shower and sauna. Drinking water from tap. During summer you can relax on hammock or by the outdoor fireplace. Palju ja sauna lämpiävät ja avotakka luo tunnelmaa. Keittiössä on kaikki tarpeellinen ja kaasugrilli ja ulkotulipaikka rannassa mahdollistavat monenlaisen lomaruuanlaiton. Saunaan ja keittiöön tulee lämmin vesi, juomavesi tuodaan kanistereissa mökille. Puucee ihan mökin lähellä. Autolla pääsee pihaan asti.

Our luxury is peace and quiet under the starry sky and northern lights. You can get there by car, but you don't have to see anyone during your entire stay if you don't want to, but you're still only about 45 minutes from the city center. We are sure that you will fall in love with our peaceful cabin in the middle of snow and northern lights. The cottage is always warm when you arrive, and we will take care of you throughout your stay as if you were our friends.

Less than 20 minutes to Saariselkä skiing slopes and other services by car, 10-minute walk to Urho Kekkonen National Park.

Aamukahvin voi nauttia isolla terassilla tai rantakivillä järven äärellä, ja illalla auringonlaskua seurata saunalta. Täällä ei tarvitse suorittaa mitään. Riittää, että hidastaa hetkeksi ja nauttii luonnosta, hiljaisuudesta ja yksinkertaisesta mökkielämästä.
