The River Room

This peaceful King Room with a private bath is located on the first floor & has everything you need for your trip! The old beams across the ceiling and huge pine floor boards make this room extra special, not to mention the propane fireplace & stunning views of The Machias River! Antique decor with a touch of Maine in the room help to capture that 1830’s farmhouse vibe. The room is stocked with coffee, linens, & soaps, along with a tray of goodies ready for your arrival! Dominion Hill Country Inn - Curtis Suite

This private premier suite overlooks the gardens. The large bedroom has a polished wood floor installed more than 150 years ago. French doors separate the king size bed from the sitting room, with a full sized pull-out sofa. The private bathroom is spacious with a large shower. The suite is air conditioned with a smart television with Roku, WiFi, and a mini fridge. Head downstairs in the morning and enjoy breakfast on our outdoor stone patio or in the Manor House dining rooms.

Conveniently located next door to Salty Roses and the Periwinkle Cafe, and only a 10 min walk to a quiet local beach.

With easy access to the Pedestrian Mall in the summers, an abundance of restaurants and nightlife within easy walking distance (though not close enough to hear), this is the ideal downtown base for your visit to St. John’s. You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place. Sisters Inn is a 100+ year old restored building with 5 unique guest rooms with private ensuites.
